A teenager was hit with a “corrosive substance” after street fight erupted in South London, police said

Scotland Yard said officers were called to reports of people fighting with weapons in South Norwood High Street on Monday afternoon. 

The 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service and his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.


There have been no arrests and enquiries are continuing. A section 60 order, giving officers the power to stop and search in the area, has been implemented.
